Her Next Move: Empowering Future Leaders
Queens Gambit is proud to partner with the Boys & Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania for Her Next Move, an all-girls chess and leadership program designed for girls aged 8–13. This dynamic program blends chess instruction, interactive games, and leadership-building activities in a fun, inclusive environment.
What to Expect:
Skill-Building: Young participants learn how to think ahead, solve problems, and trust their instincts - skills that extend well beyond the chessboard.
Leadership Development: Beyond chess, the program is designed to build confidence, critical thinking, and collaboration, preparing the next generation of young leaders.
Engagement & Fun: Every session provides a safe space to explore, ask questions, and connect with peers who share similar interests.
Program Details:
When: Mondays, from September 15 to November 17, 2025
Time: 6:30–7:30 PM
Fee: $15 per session (includes a Queens Gambit t-shirt!)

Chess for Champions: A Community Celebration
In partnership with Variety – the Children’s Charity, Queens Gambit is excited to bring you Chess for Champions - a community event where chess becomes the catalyst for connection and creativity. Open to all ages and skill levels, this is your chance to explore the beauty of chess in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
Highlights Include:
Inclusive Play: Whether you’ve never played or are a seasoned player, everyone is welcome.
Community Atmosphere: Enjoy an afternoon filled with friendly competition, interactive challenges, and the opportunity to meet fellow chess enthusiasts.
Fun for the Whole Family: This event is designed to create memorable experiences and spark a lifelong love for the game.

Nonprofit of the Game: A Night with the Pittsburgh Pirates
In a unique collaboration that merges sports, community, and impact, Queens Gambit is honored to be named the Nonprofit of the Game in partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates. This special event puts the spotlight on the transformative power of chess - right at the ballpark.
Event Highlights:
Big Game, Big Impact: Watch the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday, September 2, 2025, at 6:40 PM at PNC Park.
Support a Great Cause: A portion of the proceeds from discounted ticket sales will go directly to support Queens Gambit’s free chess-based leadership programs.
