Strategic Moves Reception

Time: 1:00 PM
Location: Pittsburgh Technology Council, Nova Place
Address: 100 S Commons #172, Pittsburgh, PA 15212

This reception is more than a networking opportunity—it’s a chance to build deeper connections around the shared mission of empowering youth through the transformative power of chess.

Since 2014, Queens Gambit has been at the forefront of reimagining chess as a platform for leadership, strategy, and civic engagement. Our programming reaches approximately 2,000 students each year, with a special focus on underrepresented youth, helping them think several moves ahead—on the board and in life.

At the Strategic Moves Reception, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Explore our innovative curriculum that merges chess education with social-emotional learning.

  • Hear from our founder, Ashley Lynn Priore, about how strategic thinking can unlock leadership potential.

  • Listen to powerful stories from student instructors and participants whose lives have been shaped by Queens Gambit.

  • Learn how you can support our mission and help us expand access to free, high-quality programming.

Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to our work, this event is your chance to be part of the movement—and help us make bold, strategic moves toward a more equitable future.

We hope to see you there. RSVP today—space is limited!
